Using the Alexander Technique to improve playing the violin.

 Alexander Technique for Performing Artists

By addressing the underlying habits that interfere with your natural coordination and posture, the Alexander Technique helps the performing artist manage the stress and strain of the practice room or rehearsal hall with more awareness and ease while reducing performance anxiety.

If you are a dancer, you can apply the principles of the Technique to move with greater poise and balance, while projecting a natural authenticity.

If you are an actor or vocalist, Alexander lessons help free up your breathing and improve your vocal production.

If you are an instrumentalist, the Alexander Technique teaches you to fully integrate your whole body to the production of sound.  Enhancing your inner poise and stage presence while sustainably alleviating strain from repetitive motion.

The Alexander Technique has been practiced by several notable actors and musicians including: Alan Rickman, John Cleese, Judi Dench, Hugh Jackman, Paul McCartney, Julian Bream , James Galway, Yehudi Menuhin, and many others.
